Mais tout le monde ne pense pas comme Oliver Schwab et Bj\u00f6rn F\u00f6rster. Fin d\u00e9cembre 2023, \u00e0 environ 170 kilom\u00e8tres au nord du cercle polaire arctique, \u00e0 Levi, en Finlande, ces deux personnages cl\u00e9s du programme de d\u00e9veloppement de la Porsche GT4 e-Performance ont supervis\u00e9 un \u00e9v\u00e9nement m\u00e9diatique inhabituel et inoubliable qui allait constituer une autre mission d'enqu\u00eate essentielle pour la vision future de Porsche en mati\u00e8re de course automobile pour ses clients.<\/p>\n<p>Au cours des 18 derniers mois, le concept de voiture de course enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectrique a fait le tour du monde, un projet g\u00e9r\u00e9 par Schwab, en commen\u00e7ant par le Festival de vitesse de Goodwood \u00e0 l'\u00e9t\u00e9 2022 avant de parcourir l'Europe, les \u00c9tats-Unis et l'Asie. Avant son arriv\u00e9e en Australie en mars prochain, \u00e0 temps pour une exposition lors de la troisi\u00e8me manche de la derni\u00e8re saison du Grand Prix de Formule 1, la voiture s'est d\u00e9tourn\u00e9e vers les \u00e9tendues sauvages et gel\u00e9es du nord de la Finlande pour des essais par temps glacial extr\u00eame.<\/p>\n<p>Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 sur le site de la Porsche Ice Experience. Le Porsche Driving Area couvre une superficie totale de 422 000 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s et offre des possibilit\u00e9s d'entra\u00eenement optimales dans deux zones d'entra\u00eenement avec une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de trente-deux pistes de conduite diff\u00e9rentes. La prise d'air centrale a \u00e9t\u00e9 scell\u00e9e en raison des temp\u00e9ratures ext\u00e9rieures toujours basses et le ch\u00e2ssis a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9quip\u00e9 d'une protection en aluminium sous la carrosserie. Pour le reste, la GT4 e-Performance n'a pas eu besoin d'autres modifications, car elle utilise le m\u00eame groupe motopropulseur EV innovant refroidi par huile, capable de d\u00e9livrer 800 kW ou 1 088 ch en version de qualification.<\/p>\n<p>Chaque \u00e9tape de la tourn\u00e9e GT4 e-Performance a offert \u00e0 l'\u00e9quipe de nouvelles opportunit\u00e9s d'acqu\u00e9rir de l'exp\u00e9rience \u00e0 la fois sur la voiture et sur la vision plus large du sport automobile \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9. \u00c0 Levi, un groupe s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 de journalistes automobiles internationaux a \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9 \u00e0 explorer les capacit\u00e9s dynamiques de la voiture et les limites de l'adh\u00e9rence sur un circuit de glace sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7u \u00e0 cet effet. Aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Richard Lietz, vainqueur du Mans et pilote d'usine Porsche, qui fait partie int\u00e9grante de l'\u00e9quipe de d\u00e9veloppement de la GT4 e-Performance, le groupe a rapidement pu exploiter la combinaison du couple instantan\u00e9 et de la transmission int\u00e9grale, en faisant d\u00e9river la voiture \u00e0 toute vitesse sur le circuit serr\u00e9 et technique.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\"Permettre aux journalistes de conduire la voiture nous a permis d'\u00e9tablir un dialogue avec eux, de conna\u00eetre leurs attentes et leurs r\u00e9actions \u00e9motionnelles \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard de la voiture\", explique M. Schwab. \"Le plan de d\u00e9veloppement n'\u00e9tait pas seulement ax\u00e9 sur les performances, mais aussi sur la facilit\u00e9 d'utilisation, et des \u00e9v\u00e9nements comme celui-ci nous offrent une occasion pr\u00e9cieuse d'obtenir davantage d'informations et de conna\u00eetre le march\u00e9. En Finlande, bien s\u00fbr, tout tournait autour des basses temp\u00e9ratures, jusqu'\u00e0 moins 20 pendant la journ\u00e9e \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque de l'ann\u00e9e. Mais incroyablement, nous n'avons eu aucun probl\u00e8me. M\u00eame la charge rapide de plus de 200 kW a fonctionn\u00e9, sur un lac gel\u00e9\".<\/p>\n<p>Non seulement la voiture pouvait se recharger \u00e0 pleine capacit\u00e9 en 20 minutes dans de telles conditions, mais son syst\u00e8me unique de refroidissement de l'huile lui permettait \u00e9galement de r\u00e9guler parfaitement la temp\u00e9rature de fonctionnement du groupe motopropulseur, en maintenant une temp\u00e9rature optimale de 45 degr\u00e9s Celsius pour les meilleures performances possibles. Pour l'\u00e9tape Levi de la tourn\u00e9e, F\u00f6rster et son \u00e9quipe ont \u00e9galement \u00e9quip\u00e9 la voiture d'un dispositif exp\u00e9rimental destin\u00e9 \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la capacit\u00e9 de la voiture \u00e0 d\u00e9river, en envoyant toute la puissance aux roues arri\u00e8re lorsque les p\u00e9dales de frein et d'acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur sont enfonc\u00e9es simultan\u00e9ment.
