In a significant development for Season 10, Formula E has introduced the Manufacturers\u2019 Trophy, a new award recognizing the leading manufacturer in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Set to be presented for the first time at the close of the 2023\/24 season, this trophy marks a fresh competitive element within the Championship.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Formula E boasts one of the most impressive and competitive manufacturer line-ups in motorsport. The Championship features six manufacturers\u2019 (Electric Racing Technologies, Jaguar, Mahindra Racing, Nissan, Porsche, and STELLANTIS) powering 11 teams, underlining the depth of the field.<\/span><\/p>\n

The scoring for this trophy mirrors that of the Teams Championship, with points awarded based on the performance of each manufacturer\u2019s two highest-scoring cars in every race (1st place: 25 points; 2nd place: 18 points; 3rd place: 15 points etc.). Points for Pole Position and Fastest Lap are also factored into the totals.<\/span><\/p>\n

A unique trophy will be awarded to the winning manufacturer at the season\u2019s end, during the Formula E prize-giving ceremony. Additionally, the victor will receive a Winner\u2019s Badge to be displayed on helmets, cars, and team apparel in the subsequent season.<\/span><\/p>\n

This initiative promises enhanced visibility for manufacturers, leveraging Formula E\u2019s digital and broadcast platforms for richer storytelling. To heighten fan engagement, Formula E will develop new broadcast graphics, offering insights into the distinct powertrains of each car, thereby enriching the viewing experience and spotlighting manufacturers on global live broadcasts. <\/span><\/p>\n

New leaderboards are also set to debut, highlighting the competitive strides of manufacturers throughout the season and adding a new layer to the Championship narrative. Complementing these advancements, updates to each team\u2019s profile on the Formula E website will include their manufacturer and branded car name, ensuring fans receive a thorough understanding of the exciting competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Season So Far\u2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Season 9 saw Teams supplied by Jaguar and Porsche competing fiercely from the first E-Prix to the last, with Jake Dennis of Andretti Formula E winning the ABB FIA Formula E Drivers\u2019 World Championship in a Porsche 99X Electric GEN3, and Jaguar\u2019s customer team Envision Racing winning the ABB FIA Formula E Teams\u2019 World Championship in a Jaguar I-Type 6. <\/span><\/p>\n

Among the 11 teams, 22 drivers and 6 manufacturers, the competition in Formula E is nothing short of intense. The first three rounds of Season 10 already delivering a thrilling mix of victors. A total of seven drivers have celebrated on the podium, showcasing the diversity and depth of talent in the field. The top 10 of the Drivers\u2019 Standings boast representatives from an impressive eight different teams, highlighting the fierce and unpredictable nature of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.<\/p>\n
