더블 헤더에서 3세대 차량에 특별한 도전을 제기하는 조건 설정
요코하마, 일본 – 닛산 포뮬러 E 팀 는 모나코에서의 좋은 성적을 바탕으로 이번 주말 자카르타 E-프리에 출전할 예정입니다. 이 팀은 몬테카를로 거리에서 사차 페네스트라즈와 노먼 나토가 예선 3위 안에 들며 시즌 최고 성적을 거뒀고, 페네스트라즈는 레이스에서 4위를 차지했습니다.
시즌 8에서 자카르타를 처음 방문한 이 챔피언십은 이제 다시 자카르타로 돌아옵니다. 올해는 더블헤더로 진행되며, 팀과 드라이버는 두 번의 레이스에서 혹독한 조건과 싸워야 합니다. 섭씨 30도가 넘는 기온과 극도로 높은 습도로 인해 시즌 9의 새로운 Gen3 차량은 포뮬러 E 일정에서 특별한 테스트를 받게 됩니다.
자카르타 북부에 위치하고 안콜 해변에서 도보로 가까운 거리에 있는 2.4km의 서킷에는 18개의 코너가 있으며, 1번과 16번 코너가 최고의 추월 기회를 제공합니다. 제동이 심한 구간과 구불구불한 고속 중간 구간이 결합되어 전체적으로 운전자와 자동차를 시험하는 레이아웃을 만들어냅니다.

토마소 볼페, 닛산 포뮬러 E 팀 매니징 디렉터 겸 팀장: “We’ve been working hard since Monaco to give us the best possible chance to build on our performance and keep up the momentum, which has been a challenge for us this year. We definitely made big improvements ahead of the last round, so we’re aiming to consolidate that and continue our development. Jakarta will be tough for everyone. It’s very hot, humid and physically strenuous for the drivers. But it will also be very demanding for all the teams, mainly because of the conditions. With this in mind, we’re focusing on finding the best possible set-up to keep the car as cool as we can and to look after the tires. Our goal for the remainder of the season is to find some more consistency and to be able to fight with both cars in the points. Jakarta will be a challenge, but it’s one we’re ready for.”
사차 페네스트라즈: “The hottest race of the year, everybody has been telling me how tough it will be! On the racing side, I’m very excited, following our best weekend of the season in Monaco. Heading to Jakarta, we are happy and in a good position in terms of the team environment. We’ll be looking to back up our performance from Monaco and prove it wasn’t a one-off, so it’s an important event for us. The track looks interesting, similar to Monaco or Cape Town in terms of some of the corners and the track characteristics, so I’m hoping for a great weekend.”
노먼 나토: “I’m excited to race in Jakarta, a new venue for me. It will be really tough physically for the teams and drivers with the high temperatures. We’ll look to build on the promise we showed in Monaco, and hopefully be able to put both cars in the points. To be second and third in qualifying was an incredible achievement, but we have to always look to improve and continue the momentum. This weekend we need to take that promise and convert it into two strong races to get the second half of the season off to a great start.”
